Base64 to Image Converter
Paste a Base64 string or a complete data URI (data:image/...;base64,...) and the picture appears right away. The tool recognises the image type from its first bytes, shows width, height and file size, and lets you download it - or convert it to PNG, JPEG or WebP.
How to use the Base64 to Image tool
- Paste the Base64 text or data URI into the box (the data:image/... prefix is optional).
- Check the preview, type and dimensions.
- Download the image, or convert it to another format first.
Questions and answers
Why does no image appear?
The data is either not an image (try Base64 to File, which recognises PDFs, ZIP files and more) or it was cut off when copied. The validator shows if characters are missing.
Can I save it as JPG instead of PNG?
Yes. Choose PNG, JPEG or WebP under Convert and download. JPEG and WebP have a quality setting.
Is the picture uploaded anywhere?
No. It is decoded and shown by your own browser. The site never receives it.
Is my data uploaded to a server?
No. Every conversion on this page runs inside your browser with JavaScript. Your text and files never leave your computer, which is why it also works for private keys, contracts and photos.
Is the tool free?
Yes, free without sign-up and without limits other than your computer's memory. The site is paid for by the small ads on the left and at the bottom.
